Overview:

Base64 Encoder/Decoder is a WordPress plugin that enables you to encode some part of a post into Base64 on server side, enclosing the text to be encoded using simple, intuitive inline <!–base64–> and <!–/base64–> tags.

These tags work in a similar way as aNieto2k’s AntiTroll Plugin, and due to these tags are html comments, when you deactivate the plugin, the post is shown without encoding, no need to be modified or re-edited.

Usage:

Usage of this plugin is really easy. Simply enclose the part of the post you want to be encoded between the <!–base64–> and <!–/base64–> tags and that’s it.

You can include any html tag inside the to-be-encoded-text. When someone is viewing the post they will see parts of normal post, some crap and weird text, and a button that says Decode. When they press this button they will see the decoded information of the weird text shown previously.

Thus the encode action it’s done on server side, it’s invisible for the browser and for search engines, the original text written it’s not shown on html source code, so it’s a secure way to encrypt part of the post… until search engines add base64 decode functions to their system.

Now you can configure this:

• Decoded post title
• Action button text
• Wordwrap for the text block
• Html format for the text block, using blockquote tag, code tag, or just plain text
• Hide/unhide javascript post button

Installation:

1. Download and extract the “wp-base64″ folder.
2. Upload the “wp-base64″ folder to your WordPress Plugins directory, usually “wp-content/plugins/”.
3. Activate the plugin in your WordPress Admin Panel.

Uso:

El uso de este plugin es realmente sencillo. Simplemente encierra la parte del post que quieres codificar entre los tags <!–base64–> y <!–/base64–> y listo.

Puedes incluir cualquier tag html dentro del texto-a-ser-codificado. Cuando alguien este viendo el post veran partes de post normal, otras partes con texto extraño que pareciera basura, y un boton que dice Decodificar. Cuando presionen este boton veran la informacion decodificada del texto extraño mostrado previamente.

Debido a que la codificacion es realizada del lado del servidor, es invisible para el navegador y las maquinas de busqueda, el texto escrito original no es mostrado en el codigo fuente html, asi que es una manera segura de encriptar parte del post… al menos hasta que las maquinas de busqueda incorporen funciones de decodificacion Base64 a sus sistemas.

Opciones:

Ahora puedes configurar lo siguiente:

• Titulo del post decodificado
• Texto del boton de accion
• Caracteres por parrafo del bloque de texto
• Formato html del bloque de texto, usando los tags blockquote, code, o texto simple

Instalacion:

1. Descarga y extrae el directorio “wp-base64″.
2. Sube el directorio “wp-base64″ a tu directorio de Plugins de WordPress, usualmente “wp-content/plugins/”.
3. Activa el plugin en el Panel de Administracion de WordPress.
